Many chiropractors use infrared scanners to determine paraspinal thermography and help detect vertebral subluxations. But are findings clinically reliable? Yes, say researchers Life University College of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia.

The study, which was published by the Public Library of Science, compared the results of two practicing clinicians using the Insight Subluxation Station® infrared scanner. Each clinician evaluated the same group of 100 individuals.

Findings “revealed excellent intra-examiner and inter-examiner reproducibility of paraspinal thermography using a commercially available unit.”
