LOW BACK PAIN NOT LINKED WITH TRUNK MUSCLE STRENGTH OR BODY SWAY

A new report, appearing in the journal Spine, included 874 subjects who were an average age of 19. Researchers measured each participant’s trunk muscle strength and body sway and assessed low-back pain (LBP) symptoms using a questionnaire. “LBP does not seem to be associated with maximal isometric trunk muscle strength or body sway in young adults,” conclude the study’s authors
