CERVICAL ADJUSTMENTS INCREASE RANGE OF MOTION, MOVEMENT TIME

Cervical adjustments increase range of motion (ROM) and movement time, according to a new study.

The investigation enrolled 15 volunteers between the ages of 21 to 42 years. All the participants had an “asymptomatic palpable intervertebral motion restriction at the C1-C2 level.”

The volunteers were randomly divided into two groups. One group received upper cervical spinal manipulation, while the other received no treatment. A significant improvement in active cervical ROM into rotation and movement time was seen in the intervention group, but not in the control group.
