ATTENDING RELIGIOUS SERVICES PREVENTS HYPERTENSION

Attending religious services on a regular basis may stave off
cardiovascular disease, according to an analysis of 14,475 adults.

Specifically, weekly attendees had an average systolic blood pressure
that was 1.46 mm Hg lower than individuals who did not attend religious services. And, compared with non-attendees, those who attended services more than once a week enjoyed 3.03 mm Hg lower systolic blood pressure.
